Welcome to this thing called Aaron's Journey. Now that my knee is repaired, please follow as I prepare for the 2013 triathlon season of Swimming, Cycling and Running, all with Diabetes on board. Some of you may ask the question, "Why start so early?" and my response is, "I'm older, wiser, more focused and more determined".

Hello Aaron,
First off, I want to say you sound like a very interesting man. I am truely inspired by all you have done! Your accomplishments are ones that an average human would think of as a challenge. However, you seem to be the individual who would look it as only a "step" towards another goal in life! Very impressive! Keep up the good attitude, it will only inspire others to be as good of a person as you seem to be!!!
Hello Aaron,
My name is Tim Jacobs and like yourself I am an Ironman finisher. (Kona 1997, Lanzarote 1998, Ironman Florida 1999) I know first hand all the hard training hours you put in to become an Ironman. I dont know what is like living with diabetes. To date I have researched and found that less than 10 African American males have finished and Ironman distance triathlon. I know there must be more. I have an idea that I need to discuss with you. Please email when you get the opportunity. Train safe!
